Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat The Training Developer supports analysis, design and generation of computer program requirements; develops test plans and procedures; verifies requirements implementation through software testing; supports system level test; documents results; and performs detailed analysis of problems with recommended solutions. As a Senior Training Developer, you will: Perform as a member of a team working with peers, and engineers both junior and senior to you on technical tasks. Basic Qualifications:

Current experience with the GWS program developing training material Minimum 15 years’ experience Experience conducting a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify and develop appropriate learning solutions. Experience designing and developing learning products for multiple modalities, including online, in-person, and hybrid, as well as synchronous and asynchronous formats. Experience analyzing learning metrics to evaluate instructional effectiveness and improvement opportunities. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, utilize subject matter experts, team members, and established processes to create and sustain training materials under minimal supervision. Experience developing maintenance training curriculum using ADDIE. Graduate of the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC) or equivalent.

Desired Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline, Instructional Systems Design, Adult Learning Studies, Education, or related field. 18 years’ relevant work experience with an Associate’s degree, 3 with a Bachelor’s, 0 with a Master’s, or 7 years’ experience in lieu of a degree. Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Education Suite, Learning Management Systems, or other related software suites. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required for the position. Experience developing learning materials for technical disciplines. Experience applying adult learning theories and instructional design principles. Curriculum design experience.
