Apex Systems is seeking a Windchill Solutions Architect to work remotely. Must be a U.S. Person and located within the Contiguous U.S.
Summary:
The Windchill Solutions Architect will provide updates to the Windchill Engineering workflows to eliminate inefficiencies and align with the new Engineering Change Process, including Pre-CCB and CCB formats.
Job Description:
Lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of complex software system architectures, with a focus on optimizing Windchill workflows for engineering change management.
This role involves:
Defining and evolving software architectures within the domain. Providing architectural guidance across multiple sites and projects. Acting as a subject matter expert and external representative for the organization. Supporting project managers with risk management, customer reviews, and corrective action planning. Developing and managing project plans and schedules. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee requirements development and manage Computer Software Configuration Item (CSCI) requirements and algorithms. Negotiate internal and external interfaces with customers, partners, and suppliers. Conduct trade studies and assess requirement changes. Manage supplier/subcontractor relationships for advanced software projects. Lead software development, maintenance, and unit testing for CSCIs. Guide design implementation and integration strategies across programs. Support defect investigation and resolution. Drive process/tool selection, tailoring, and deployment. Implement and refine engineering change processing and release workflows in Windchill.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree with 15+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters degree with 13+ years related work experience, or GED with 19+ years related work experience) Proven experience with Windchill and Windchill workflow modifications Strong background in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools Proficiency in application development and software architecture Experience with engineering change processes and workflow optimization EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
