Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our Development team for MES and ERP Solutions, and work closely with our team of analysts, end users and app developers. This position provides the successful candidate an opportunity to become a key team player offering technical expertise supporting Nucor’s business system development and implementation.

Software Developer Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and deliver code that meets defined requirements. Support and document existing and future development. Execute assigned project tasks within schedule. Provide timely and effective user support. Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Work with project leads in developing and executing project plans. Deliver business values to the Nucor team by developing and coding solutions in existing MES systems. Develop MES interfaces with other systems

• Level 2 and existing business systems. Develop MES report solutions
• Business Objects, Crystal Report, Power

BI, APEX.

Observe user feedback to recommend solution improvements. Develop and update technical design documents. Research and evaluate relevant technologies and solutions. Develop and update technical design documents Assist with deployment of enterprise software applications to local division teammates. The Nucor Decatur, AL, office is the only location for this position. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related fields, or 3-5 years of experience in PL/SQL and at least one of the popular programming languages (.NET, Python) Experience with

PL/SQL, REST

Web Services, ASP.NET, C#, Python Excellent understanding of general software application development principles and practices. Experience leading and developing a team Immigration or work via sponsorship will not be provided for this position
