In this role, you’ll serve as the critical link between innovative engineering solutions and customer success. You’ll apply your technical expertise to solve complex challenges, develop customized proposals, and support the sales process. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in mechanical systems, electrical controls, and automation, along with a proven ability to apply that knowledge to real-world problem-solving in customer-facing environments.

location: Portland, Connecticut job type: Permanent salary: $100,000 – 105,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth customer operations and satisfaction.
Provide expert support through phone, email, and on-site visits, building strong customer relationships.
Conduct on-site analyses to identify and fix technical problems, optimizing equipment performance.
Prepare detailed technical solutions, including equipment specs, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Collaborate with sales teams to convert customer needs into tailored solutions that support sales growth.
Stay knowledgeable about the company’s products, including technical specs, features, and benefits.
Keep up with industry trends and new technologies to provide the best solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline, with a strong foundation in technical principles.
Proven ability to leverage in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, and automation to diagnose and resolve complex, real-world engineering challenges.strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, sales teams, and engineering staff. Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks), enabling the creation of detailed technical drawings and models.
Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects to successful completion.
Experience in the packaging industry, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and solutions is hghly preferred
Travel:
Flexibility and willingness to travel up to 20% to support customer needs
