About the
Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Engine Developer to design, develop, and maintain complex billing systems. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience, a good understanding of financial workflows, and the ability to ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer billing data.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable billing engine architecture.
Develop, test, and maintain core billing logic and invoicing mechanisms.
Integrate billing systems with CRM, ERP, and payment gateways.
Work closely with product and finance teams to understand billing requirements.
Ensure billing accuracy, compliance with tax regulations, and support audit processes.
Optimize performance and scalability of billing processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in billing logic or data inconsistencies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of in-depth development experience with C#/.NET
5+ years Microsoft SQL Server experience (Configuration, Administration and Tuning)
3+ years of backend development experience, preferably in billing, fintech, or enterprise systems.
Experience with REST APIs and integrating third-party services.
Familiarity with billing concepts like proration, discounts, subscriptions, taxation, etc.
Experience working with tools like Zuora, Stripe, Chargebee, or similar platforms is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in high-volume transactional systems.
Knowledge of accounting principles or financial reconciliation.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
Agile/Scrum experience
Healthcare industry experience is a BIG plus
