The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development with a focus on e-commerce systems, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and engaging shopping experience for our customers. This role involves working closely with business analysts and other IT professionals to design, code, test, and implement software solutions that meet our business needs. Essential Duties/Accountabilities Work in a fast paced environment while collaborating with team members, stake holders, and other business entities to deliver exceptional eCommerce features and experiences. Develop, implement, and maintain e-commerce websites and associated applications in both the B2B and B2C spaces. Develop custom code, modules, and components for both customer facing and internal web based applications and eCommerce sites and initiatives that meet stakeholder requirements. Implement internal and external services using Restful APIs and GraphQL Optimize website performance, scalability, and server-side code efficiency. Ensure website security and compliance with data protection regulations including CCPA and GDPR Provide technical support and consultation to team members and stakeholders. Provide technical planning, development, and systems integration from discovery through launch. Maintain and update documentation for site configurations, processes, and best practices. Maintain coding standards and compliance in different languages/frameworks. Record events, problems, and their resolution in logs. Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures. Interest in emerging technologies in Web Development / eCommerce. Driven to learn new technologies and procedures. Be able to stay organized, multitask, and stay on target as priorities and goals shift Self-starter that is able to work with little supervision while maintaining clear communication between team members.

Requirements:

Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Required Skills and Abilities Proven experience in e-commerce development, with a portfolio of successful projects and a Github account or code samples. 3+ Years of Full Stack Development for Magento 2.X in accordance with Magento Best Practice and quality standards 3+ years of additional experience, or demonstrable equivalent knowledge in PHP OOP development for web based applications up to PHP 8. Experience working in Linux environments Familiarity with developing custom themes and extensive modules for Magento providing new features and functionalities to the Magento 2.x platform Experience with running Magento in a containerized environment using docker Experience with Blue-Green deployment strategies Experience with using Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines and deployments Experience in SQL and maintaining complex databases based in relational database software such as MySQL and MariaDB Experience with RabbitMQ or other message brokers writing consumers and publishers Experience with writing and consuming Restful APIs, SOAP, and GraphQL. Experience with developing containerized docker applications and using docker compose Experience with 3rd party integrations and services, customizing and troubleshooting different areas of Magento Familiarity with front-end Frameworks including Knockout, jQuery, React, and NextJS.
