Job Title:

Systems Engineer Job Description In this role, you will perform customer requirements analysis, solution development, and advanced design and implementation of real-time software and hardware systems for operator and maintenance training devices. You will also mentor lower-level Systems Engineers. Responsibilities Generate requirements traceability matrix from customer specifications, statements of work, or other documents. Review requirements and develop architectural solutions based on comprehensive knowledge of hardware and software. Analyze, design, and implement real-time software and hardware systems for operator and maintenance training devices. Attend and present project status and engineering issues at Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events and In-Progress Reviews (IPR), ensuring discrepancies are recorded as Action Items. Collaborate with the engineering team and management to meet budget, timeline, and scope requirements. Conduct testing at customer sites and early testing on pre-release products. Develop technical proposals and respond to Sources Sought, RFPs, and RFIs in collaboration with the marketing team, ensuring technical accuracy and professional presentation. Create training device documentation to meet CDRL requirements. Mentor lower-level Systems Engineers. Handle government-furnished equipment and materials safely. Work a standard weekly schedule with possible overtime. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Engineering expertise in systems engineering, simulation software, electrical and mechanical engineering, and design engineering. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance. In-depth understanding of simulation hardware and software to recommend solutions. Self-motivation. Excellent writing and presentation skills. Ability to prioritize tasks to meet schedules. Experience with training devices and simulation or an aircraft/military vehicle Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an engineering major with five (5) years of experience in systems engineering. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with seven (7) years of experience in systems engineering. High school diploma or equivalent with eleven (11) years of experience in systems engineering. Advanced degree in engineering is preferred. Work Environment The role requires onsite work Monday to Friday, with flexible shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
