Remote Description:
Overview We are looking for an experienced SharePoint Developer – Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team providing Operational Support Services for the Department of Interior (DOI). The selected candidate will be responsible for developing custom solutions for our SharePoint environment, ranging from small enhancements to large, complex projects. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will work closely with both technical and business teams to design, develop, and deploy SharePoint solutions that meet organizational needs and objectives. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of SharePoint solutions, including custom web parts, workflows, and integration points. Design and develop APIs and web services for integration with other systems. Collaborate with SharePoint Admins for seamless deployment and management of developed solutions. Implement custom SharePoint solutions with a focus on best practices, governance, and scalability. Develop client-side and server-side code using technologies like .NET, C#, PowerShell, and JavaScript. Assist in migration strategies, including planning, risk assessment, and execution. Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint issues, offering support for deployed solutions. Work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure that user experience requirements are met. Mentor junior developers and offer guidance for best practices and coding standards.
Requirements:
Required Skills and Experience US Citizenship required 8-10 years of experience in SharePoint development. Expert-level knowledge of SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server. Strong proficiency in .NET Technologies such as ASP.NET, WCF, WF, EF, and C#. In-depth understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and associated technologies. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerBI, Power Automate, PowerApps). Extensive experience with client-side technologies like JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Strong understanding of Web Server Deployment related to IIS, AppFabric, and SharePoint Online. Desired Skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Leadership qualities and experience in mentoring junior staff. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s Degree is a plus. Compensation Competitive salary based on experience.
