Job Description We are looking for an Application Architect to lead the testing and integration efforts for our applications. This position will be full-time 12+ month contract, and onsite. What You’ll Do Collaborate with development teams to understand the scope of updates Define a comprehensive testing strategy based on the specific changes made to the applications Document test cases, test results, and any deviations from expected behavior Identify test scenarios, test data, and success criteria Perform integration testing to ensure interaction between different components of the application and test broader system functionality, including infrastructure components Perform functional testing through validation of end-to-end functionality from a user’s perspective, ensuring the application behaves as expected under various scenarios including negative testing Execute testing based on the defined test scenarios, report defects and issues promptly, including steps to reproduce, and collaborate with developers to address identified issues Re-run test cases to ensure that no new defects were introduced during updates and validate backward compatibility with existing features Assess application responsiveness, identify bottlenecks, and performance issues Validate security controls, authentication mechanisms, and authorization rules, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend improvements Verify that the updated applications work seamlessly across different browsers Provide clear instructions for reproducing defects Develop detailed test reports summarizing test execution, defects found, and overall application quality, provide recommendations for improvements

What You’ll Need Required:

10 years of experience programming in developing and utilizing test scripts to test web applications 5 years of experience in utilizing automated testing tools/platforms to test applications Experience in conducting application testing without utilizing automated testing Experience with Kanban/Scrum/Agile Experience working collaboratively with business analysts and developers Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Software Engineering, or another related field

Preferred:

Experience with building test cases and running tests using Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft, and/or Microfocus ALM Experience with application development security tools such as WebInspect Experience in standing up a new automated testing solution/platform Ability to plan, organize and document IT solutions Ability to plan, organize and coordinate IT work assignments Experience testing APIs Experience working in a project-oriented environment Excellent troubleshooting skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Detail-oriented, ability to switch tasks, ability to self-direct and prioritize tasks Ability to research and investigate problems to develop viable solutions and report findings/recommendations clearly and effectively Experience developing functional and technical specifications, design flow, and system blueprints Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor Reasonable Accommodation Statement If you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to or (888) 824 – 8111.
