Full Stack Software Engineer at RestaurantBrands InternationalRestaurant Brands International Inc. is seekingan on-site Full Stack Software Engineer for both backend andfrontend development. This role supports the research anddevelopment (R D) group and all of RBI’s brands, including
TIMHORTONS, BURGER
KING, POPEYES, and
FIREHOUSE SUBS.
As a PrincipalEngineer, you will drive technical innovation and strategy,providing high-level guidance and collaborating across teams toenhance products and platforms.
The position offers a uniqueopportunity to work on cutting-edge machine learning (ML) andAI-driven initiatives, including generative AI, large languagemodels (LLMs), and deep learning, to create innovative customerexperiences and optimize operations.
Roles and Responsibilities Serve as a technical leader and strategic advisor, gatheringrequirements and providing insights on AI and ML enhancements. Translate high-level business needs into technicaldeliverables, leveraging ML models and AI tools. Architect and oversee complex frontend and backendsolutions. Collaborate on new product development and systemmaintenance. Draft and review design documents for critical features. Contribute to companywide developer experience (DevEx)improvements.
Qualifications 4+ years of experience in frontend development with React,focusing on dynamic user interfaces with real-time data. 4+ years of experience building and architecting Node.js APIs,with exposure to AI/ML model integration. 2+ years of experience with AWS services, especially AWSLambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, and deploying AI/ML models withSageMaker. Proven ability to deliver high-quality features independentlyunder deadlines. Deep experience designing system architectures involving datapipelines, frontend frameworks, and backend systems. Hands-on experience with generative AI, LLMs, fine-tuning, RAG,embeddings, vectorization, and prompting. Classical machine learning experience with deep learning,neural networks, and optimization algorithms. Expertise in AI-enhanced data visualization tools, preferablywith React libraries like Recharts, D3, and Victory.
