The OpportunityWe are looking fora Principal Engineer with experience building and shippingenterprise software. As a Principal Engineer at Kandji, you willlead development and innovation with our proprietary agent andsuite of applications. Principal Engineers have the opportunity todeliver and define strategic Kandji business-level objectives andkey components of our research and development projects.
How youwill make a difference day to day Hands on coder with ability to architect and contribute codefor new features and proof of concepts Create architectures and high-level designs to meet ourstrategic objectives that are flexible and enable many options inthe future without 100% clarity on what that future is Identify technology and strategic growth opportunities thatenable Kandji to grow as a business and rally the organizationbehind these choices by providing clear rationale and technicalvision. Become an authority on the technologies of your team with theability to answer questions to guide other developers and informbusiness management Collaborate cross functionally with distributed teams; much ofour workforce is remote Work closely with engineering counterparts on other projects toensure consistent architecture and product alignment Help drive quality by working with teams to promote modularizedcode that is testable, performant, and easy to maintain withmulti-staged validation plans Design and deliver systems that require research on what is’possible’ rather than simply relying on past experience You will have the opportunity to work on exciting greenfieldprojects, contributing to the development of new and innovativesolutions from the ground up.
We’d love to hear from you if you have 8+ years professional engineering experience with modernlanguages and frameworks Experience building user interfaces with modern frameworks andlibraries Experience working with device management Experience with low-level system programming, including APIsfor application interaction with operating system services andcomponent-based software models. Familiarity with operating system security models, includinguser privilege management, authentication mechanisms, and accesscontrol policies Experience with OS-level scripting languages for automation andmanagement tasks, including system configuration and processorchestration Experience with secure code signing practices and developingsystem-level drivers, including managing kernel-level interactionsand hardware integration Experience with system event logging, monitoring frameworks,and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting and performanceanalysis Experience working in Agile software development team andfamiliarity with build processes and best dev practices such as
TDD/ CI / CD
