THE ROLE

AMD is looking for a C-Simulation Engineer passionate about driving the cutting-edge hardware modelling and algorithm design for AMD’s next generation IP design. As a member of the Radeon Technologies Group, you will be developing the C/C++ simulation models and work closely with the architecture, IP design teams to achieve first pass silicon success. You will have exposure to the ISA (instruction set architecture) as we continue development or our specialized hardware for the ML/AI space. The ideal candidate with have proven experience with Object Oriented design and programming with a familiarity with assembly language and floating point operations.

THE PERSON

A successful candidate will work with senior design engineers and architects. The candidate will be highly accurate and detail-oriented, a team player, possessing good communication and problem solving skills. Willing to learn and being able to pick up new concepts quickly will be advantageous as the team will be using a software language to model hardware behavior.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive the development of C/C++ simulation models for silicon architecture and algorithm evaluation, performance analysis and hardware verification. Partner with cross-functional teams such as HW/SW Co-design, RTL design, verification, emulation, post silicon validation, firmware and software development, in the use and support of building ASIC architecture and simulation models to ensure first pass silicon success and rapid deployment. Develop and debug complex code, on a large-scale codebase and version control systems.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Proven hands-on object oriented programming experience in C/C++. Experience or familiarity with advanced text editors and IDEs. Good understanding of computer organization/architecture
