They design, build, and ship strategicsoftware platforms and applications that enable internal businessdecision-makers to view and manage data related to decision scienceworkflows . These applications range from web-based end-userexperiences to RESTful APIs and orchestrated data services. In thisrole, as a Senior Application Engineer, you will be part of a teamdeveloping a web-based analytic platform. You will design, build,and ship new functionality for a new platform. This role requirestechnical expertise, creative thinking, a sense of urgency,attention to detail, a platform mindset, and a collaborative workethic.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and ship new features of acutting-edge software platform that serves strategic internalbusiness decision-makers. Innovate by researching and championingnew ways to solve complex software problems Lead, mentor, andassist other Application Engineers Collaborate with ProductManagers on application requirements, priorities, estimates, andproject plans Collaborate with Data Scientists to understandscience model inputs & outputs and represent them in user-friendlyapplications Collaborate with Data Engineers on data storage,retrieval, and archiving routines Collaborate with DevOps toarchitect application environments, security, and continuousintegration Draft and propose creative user experiences throughworkflows, wireframes, and mockups that meet business requirementsSupport a global enterprise-wide mission by evangelizing bestpractices in the field of software development.

What We’re LookingFor:

Proven experience designing full-stack web platforms on cloudinfrastructure (AWS) including front-end, back-end, datapersistence, data security, caching, scalability, APIs, andmonitoring Demonstrated ability to design and build applicationsthat address complex data problems with user-friendly solutionsDemonstrated ability to lead technical project assignments fromstart to finish, meet deadlines, manage priorities, anticipateproblems, adapt to changing requirements, and resolve technicalissues Ability to work with other team members to review technicalproject plans and estimate task effort Ability to communicate,collaborate and compromise with other team members and leadersAbility to test new features, identify possible issues, and providesolutions to complex problems.

Required Experience:

5 years ofexperience in software development with expertise in at least onelanguage 3 years of experience with Python 3 years of front-endexperience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Experience with Django orsimilar Python web frameworks Experience with React or similarfront-end JavaScript libraries or frameworks Experience buildingapplication pages and services that process large and complexvolumes of data with various databases and data warehouses such asPostgreSQL and Snowflake Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,MIS, Data Mining, Mathematics or equivalent
