Core Requirement At least 10 years of prior development experience with InformaticaPower Center. Education Bachelors degree preferred but equivalent experience may besubstituted. Knowledge and skills Ability to participate in the completion of work by individualsinside and outside the immediate team. Outstanding verbal and written communications skills. Abilityto work and effectively communicate with IT management personnel,peers, and outside vendors important. Demonstration of good technical and tactical thinking and problemsolving. Technical Skills Technology based background with solid understanding of Informaticaproducts, including but not limited to: Power Center (version 8); Application ILM; Data Quality; Master Data Management. Job experience 10 Years experience and knowledge with Informatica platform. This includes utilities, scripts, backup/recovery andbusiness continuity practices. 10 Years experience and knowledge of database technology (Oracleand MS/SQL Server). 10 Years of work experience with increasing responsibilities. Job Expectations/Performance Implementation, maintenance and sustainment for all levels ofdatabase environments: Coordinate compliance management; Coordinate security protocols; Perform and/or assist with patches and upgrades; Installation of new package and/or rebuilding environments fromclones and instructions; Monitor and maintain operational capability; Help identify issues and suggest ways to help correct or tuneperformance issues; Coordinate backups; Coordinate user account and privilege management. Help conduct technical research, testing, evaluation anddocumentation of tools and methodologies to ensure that tools arecurrent and functional. Analyze, study and lead application and data integrationrequirements to proactively design, plan, and deploy neededcapabilities. Work with development teams and designers to develop architecturalrequirements to ensure client satisfaction with product. Mentor junior staff members to improve their technical andprofessional skills. Provide answers to client inquiries concerning applications,databases, and support. Refer inquires as necessary to appropriatepersonnel. Provide end user support related to Informatica repository accessand software installation and maintenance. Document and provide support; resolve issues to ensure that thesystem is functioning according to specifications. Work in partnership with system administrators and engineeringgroups to assist in the design changes to equipment. Determine theimpact upon software deployments, operations, and supportability toensure timely and uninterrupted service for the customer. Knowledgeable of applicable standards and best practices. Assist with estimates on costs and schedule for required changes tosystem baseline configurations. Participate in hardware and software configuration management. Participate in on-call rotation.
