Genesis10 is seeking a Senior ?Java Application Developer forour client in the financial services industry. This 6 monthcontract position is located in St. Petersburg, FL. Hybrid workschedule, must be local to the Tampa Bay area. W2 Hourly Pay raterange: $75-85 Depending on experience

Description:

As part of adevelopment technology team, individual analyzes businessrequirements and problems and drives research to design qualitytechnical solutions. This individual will be involved in portionsof the full systems life cycle (based on experience/skills) and isresponsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing,maintaining and supporting application software that is deliveredon time and within budget. Handles complex problems independentlyand demonstrates analytical thinking. Is able to make judgementsand recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation ofdata.

Responsibilities:

Analyzes system requirements, includingidentifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces betweenimpacted components and sub systems. Makes recommendations towardsthe development of new code or to reuse of existing code. Mayrecommend new technologies and methodologies to management formeeting business needs, resolving problems and exploitingopportunities. Remains current with new technologies. Participatesin software system testing and validation procedures, programmingand documentation. Provides technical advice and assists in solvingprogramming problems. Ensures proper analysis of problems andprogramming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Work on bugresolution and application improvements, such as performance andmaintainability. Participate actively in discussions, presentationsand decisions about front-end development and application design.

Requirements:

Experience in the following areas: projectmanagement, enterprise implementation, leadership experience,strategic planning, business acumen, application development,change management. Five (5) years of full stack developmentexperience in Java, J2EE with working knowledge of Spring, ORM(Hibernate preferred), Spring Boot, cache implementations. Five (5)years of experience writing Database queries in PL/SQL, Functions,on Oracle.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of MongoDB, Python, Containersis a plus. W2
