MAJOR FUNCTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable web applications, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to architectural decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both front-end and back-end technologies and a passion for problem-solving.

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES

Develop, test, and maintain web applications using modern front-end and back-end frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, best practices, and security standards.
Design and implement scalable, robust, and maintainable application architecture.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Lead Agile project management processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to suggest improvements and innovations.
Travel for education, conferences, and site visits.
Attend education courses and maintain certifications.
Perform related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS

Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
Proficiency with design principles such as object-oriented programming, functional programming, asynchronous programming, and design patterns.
Expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like React.
Proficient knowledge of back-end frameworks such as Node.js.
Familiarity with relational and non-relational database systems.
Experience with unit, component, and end-to-end testing.
Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization tools.
Experience implementing and interfacing with REST or GraphQL APIs.
Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
Understanding of modern security best practices and compliance requirements.
Understanding of web accessibility standards and guidelines.
Ability to build and scale complex applications in a collaborative environment.
Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack.
Ability to lead and mentor development teams while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Git and GitHub.
Solid understanding of performance optimization techniques for both front-end and back-end development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:

Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited four (4) year college/university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Certification:
ISC2 CSSLP

(Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional) – Must already possess or be able to secure the certification within the first year of employment.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like React.
Experience with back-end frameworks like Node.js.
Experience with database technologies like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like DigitalOcean and containerization tools like Docker.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of serverless computing and APIs.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to secure a valid Florida driver’s license at the time of employment within this classification.

SPECIAL PREFERENCES

Special consideration will be given to candidates who meet the minimum qualifications as well as have experience with the following: Exposure to AI/ML tools and libraries.
Experience with React frameworks like Next.js, React Router, or TanStack.
Familiarity with build tools like Vite.
Experience with CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS.
Familiarity with component libraries like Radix UI.
Familiarity with animation libraries like Framer Motion.
Experience with design tools like Figma.
Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or Playwright.
