Job Description
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Release Manager to lead the release management process and ensure the smooth and timely delivery of software updates and products. This role involves close coordination with cross-functional teams—including engineering, QA, operations, and project management—to minimize risk and support successful deployments.
Requirements Key Responsibilities:
+ Establish and maintain standardized release management processes and procedures. + Plan and coordinate release schedules across multiple teams and environments. + Lead release planning sessions, offering guidance on scope, timing, and expectations. + Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality release deliverables. + Manage release documentation and artifacts, such as release notes, scripts, and versioning. + Communicate release progress, risks, and issues to key stakeholders. + Maintain and optimize release automation tools and processes. + Identify opportunities to enhance release reliability, efficiency, and scalability. + Participate in retrospectives and post-release reviews to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience. + Demonstrated experience in release management or a similar technical role. + Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and release practices. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. + Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices is preferred. + Certification in release management (e.g., ITIL) is a plus but not required.
