Job Description
Position Summary:
This role provides pre-sales and post-sales field service for commissioning, warranty evaluation, repair, and technical support services for automation products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting, installation, startup, and commissioning of automation products. Provide pre-sales support with key customers for proof of concept, product configuration, and integration into customer systems in coordination with the local sales team. Perform routine maintenance on various automation products. Offer technical expertise and guidance for the repair of automation products. Deliver technical product training for internal personnel and customers. Troubleshoot, rewrite, and program logic on machines. Assist with warranty evaluation to determine whether a specific field service activity falls under warranty. Collaborate with Authorized Service Centers to achieve job-specific objectives. Exhibit effective customer service skills and project a positive image to customers. Establish expectations for follow-up activities after customer site visits, including negotiating timelines and scope of work. Provide technical service reports, expense reports, and time sheets for billing and record-keeping. Provide back-up support to the repair lab and technical support team as needed. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education:
Engineering degree or equivalent work experience. Knowledge /
Training:
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to read schematics and drawings. Experience with low and high voltage drives. Knowledge of process/control design for projects (PLCs, networks, drives, instrumentation, control panels, etc.). Familiarity with industrial applications such as pumps, fans, conveyors, compressors, master/slave systems, etc. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience.
