We are seeking an experienced COBOL Developer with a strong background in Linux/Unix environments to join our development team. This role involves working on legacy system modernization, integrations, and enhancements by applying industry-standard software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in COBOL development, database interaction, and a working knowledge of APIs and C programming. Candidates need to have : 6+ years of professional experience in COBOL development in Linux environments. Strong experience with relational databases (Oracle preferred). Proficiency with Unix or Linux shell environments. Understanding of SOAP/RESTful APIs and data interchange formats such as XML and JSON. Working knowledge of C programming. Ability to analyze, identify, and resolve complex business and technical problems. Preferred Qualifications (Competitive Edge): Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus. Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or DevOps practices. Exposure to legacy modernization projects or large-scale enterprise systems.
Job Responsibilities:
