DevOps Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client seeking a remote DevOps Engineer to join their team. This company has a new specific project to migrate all CI from the current Concourse/TeamCity/Jenkins implementation to GitHub Actions Paved Road.

Summary:

The DevOps Engineer will be converting the existing pipelines for teams that don’t have the bandwidth or knowledge to do it themselves. They will leverage guides written by the DevTools team to accomplish this task. The DevOps Engineer will also support Artifactory and Sonarqube along with a few other tools. Communication and the ability to have a customer oriented attitude is also a must given the nature of the team/role. Overall, they are looking for a Devops/SRE skillset that has experience with CI/Build tools and ideally experience migrating pipelines to github actions.

REQUIREMENTS

• DevOps-focused
• Understanding different build tools (ie: Concourse, Teamcity, Jenkins)

Languages:

Javascript and Bash, YML and Groovy experience

• GitHub & GitHub Actions experience (big plus)
• Build Tools & Build Pipelines experience
• Docker knowledge
• Able to deploy something from code to production (Version, Scan, Build, Docker, Deploy)
• Strong debug skills

Other:

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong scripting ability, Bash preferred
• Comfort on a linux command line, navigating, looking through logs, configuring systems
• Experience automating repetitive tasks
• Experience with CI build pipelines
• Administration of GitHub and Artifactory experience (big plus)
• Experience designing and developing web apps
• Experience with node/express backend and react front end
  The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.

We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
