Exempt Position Overview:
The Automation Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive automation solutions across the organization. This role includes analyzing existing business processes, recommending and architecting process redesigns, and leveraging advanced automation software tools to optimize efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance scalability. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of automation technologies and frameworks, strong business analysis skills, and a proven ability to lead technical projects from conceptualization to implementation.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive analysis of current business processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization. Architect, develop, and implement robust, scalable automation solutions to streamline business operations. Collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments (QA, Development, Operations, etc.) to understand their needs and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Design and document process workflows, solution architectures, and automation frameworks clearly and effectively. Evaluate, select, and implement industry-leading automation tools and technologies such as Katalon, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or similar tools. Provide strategic guidance on process redesign and optimization, emphasizing scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Oversee the creation of detailed automation project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, milestones, and key deliverables. Mentor and provide guidance to automation teams, including developers and QA engineers, to ensure alignment with architectural best practices. Collaborate with IT Security teams to ensure automation solutions comply with enterprise security standards. Continually assess and improve the automation solution lifecycle through feedback loops and iterative enhancements.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
7+ years experience in automation development, architecture, or related roles. Proven experience with process re-design, business process management, and workflow automation. Expertise in automation software platforms such as Katalon, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism. Solid understanding of scripting languages and automation frameworks (e.g., Python, TypeScript, Playwright). Demonstrated experience in integrating automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions). Experience with cloud environments (AWS) preferred. Previous experience in Agile/Scrum environments required, ability to be flexible with various work streams.
