Technical Lead

WHAT YOU WILLDO

HHS Technology Group is seeking a highly skilled andexperienced Technical Lead to join our dynamic and growing team. Asa Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role responsible forproviding subject matter expertise on decisions and prioritiesregarding the overall systems architecture, implementation,maintenance, and ongoing modernization. The right candidate willsucceed in leading technical initiatives, driving the developmentprocess, and ensuring the successful delivery of highest-qualitysoftware solutions. You will collaborate closely withcross-functional teams, including developers, architects, projectmanagers, and clients, to define technical requirements, provideguidance, and oversee the implementation of projects. The idealcandidate will possess a strong technical background, excellentleadership and communication skills, and a proven track record ofdelivering successful software projects. This role is remote andmay require occasional travel to client site.

ESSENTIALRESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical leadership and guidance to thedevelopment team, helping them make informed decisions, solvecomplex technical challenges, and deliver high-quality softwaresolutions. Collaborate with the development team to design,develop, and implement scalable, reliable, and secure SaaS softwareapplications. Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices,and industry standards. Work closely with architects to define theoverall software architecture, design patterns, and systemintegration strategies. Ensure the scalability, performance, andmaintainability of the software solution. Lead and mentor a team ofdevelopers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Provide technical guidance, support, and coaching to team members.

Collaborate with product managers, project managers, andstakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.

Plan and execute software development projects, ensuring timelydelivery and alignment with business objectives. Create andmaintain comprehensive technical documentation, including systemarchitecture, design specifications, API documentation, and userguides. Ensure documentation is up to date and accessible to theteam and stakeholders. Implement and enforce quality assuranceprocesses, including code reviews, unit testing, and automatedtesting frameworks. Ensure software quality, reliability, andperformance through rigorous testing and debugging. Fostereffective communication and collaboration between cross-functionalteams, including developers, QA engineers, BAs product managers,and stakeholders. Act as a bridge between technical andnon-technical stakeholders, translating business requirements intotechnical solutions. Drive continuous improvement initiativeswithin the development team and the organization. Identifyopportunities to optimize development processes, enhanceproductivity, and improve software quality. Collaborate with theclient teams to address technical issues, troubleshoot softwareproblems, and provide timely resolutions to customer inquiries orconcerns. Ensure adherence to security best practices andcompliance requirements, such as data privacy regulations.

Implement robust security measures to protect customer data andmaintain the integrity of the product.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or arelated field or equivalent experience. Ten (10) years ofexperience leading large-scale technology initiatives withsignificant system integration experience. Three (3) or moreMedicaid or MMIS experience. Experience in designing andimplementing complex integration solutions and custom softwarebuilds on an AWS Cloud platform. Strong Java and Computer Sciencefoundation 5 Experience working in a DevOps CI/CD environment. 5Java (Core) Spring (Boot, Batch) 5 Relational Databases 5 StrongReact JS, Angular or similar framework, is essential. Must be ableto query NoSQL DB Minimum 4 years of experience managing relatedservices with similar budgets, preferably in Medicaid or thehealthcare industry and for a project similar in size and scope tothis project. Solid understanding of Agile developmentmethodologies and processes. Excellent leadership and communicationskills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverseteams and stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solvingabilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and practicalsolutions.

DESIRED SKILLS
