Deep expertise in Vertex tax software customization, especially with Vertex O Series and Vertex Cloud. 8+ years of Tax Technology experience, with at least 3 years focused on Vertex development and customization. Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices architectures using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, or related frameworks. Experience with Azure Devops. Deep expertise in Vertex tax software customization, especially with Vertex O Series and Vertex Cloud. Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Java spring boot, JavaScript, and/or Python. Strong experience integrating Vertex solutions with ERP systems (Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Vertex Accelerator), emphasizing customization and complex data flows. In-depth understanding of indirect tax concepts and compliance requirements. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Excellent communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively. Expert knowledge of Web Services, Java, and XML, RESTful API technologies. Maven 3.x, Spring Boot Microservices (2.x and 3.x), Eclipse, JFrog, Docker images, GitHub, ECO, Jenkins, SoapUI Expert knowledge of systems and databases.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of global tax regulations and their impact on solution design. Experience with cloud-native development, containerization, and orchestration platforms. Familiarity with automation tools, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Vertex certification or equivalent advanced training preferred. Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
