Job Duties:

BlackRock Corporation US, Inc. is hiring a(n) Vice President, Application Engineer, Senior Engineer I (ref. Code R252010 in Atlanta, GA).

Duties:

Perform hands-on software development while leading other developers to build our next generation ETF platform. Work with UX designers to build easy-to-use and intuitive screens that will generate user delight. Actively participate in the team’s agile delivery process, completing sprint tasks and writing high quality code, unit tests, and automated integration tests to move features to production. Provide high quality technical input to team discussions on system design, seeing efforts through to final delivery. Mentor junior team members providing code style and architectural input through pair programming, reviewing pull requests, and team meetings. Perform high-level root cause analysis for service interruptions and help bring services back online once problem is resolved. Focus on one component of team’s domain. Actively work to improve engineering skills, including understanding Blackrock’s technology stack, practice, and tooling. Number of direct reports may vary. .

REQUIREMENTS

Employer will accept a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field; and 72 months (6 years) of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Related skills may be required.
