The OpportunityWe are seekinga Vice President, Solution Architect to join our Product &Engineering team to lead complex, strategically importantinitiatives. This is not a traditional architect role. It is aproject-based, hands-on leadership position for individuals whobring together deep technical expertise, product intuition,operational discipline, and commercial acumen.

These are theindividuals we turn to when the stakes are highest-whether it’slaunching a major new capability, overhauling a critical system, orresolving a deep cross-functional challenge. The VP, SolutionArchitect partners closely with Engineering, Product, Data,Operations, and Business stakeholders as needed to design, develop,and deliver novel solutions.

This role is ideal for senior leaderswho thrive in ambiguity, move easily between strategic thinking andtactical execution, and have a track record of deliveringtransformative outcomes.

Key Responsibilities End-to-End Initiative Leadership:

Take full ownership ofcritical cross-functional initiatives-from opportunity definitionthrough execution and delivery.

Architecture & Systems Thinking:

Design pragmatic, scalable,and modern solutions that align with enterprise architecture whiledriving business outcomes.

Cross-Functional Integration:

Align technology, product,operations, and commercial teams around a unified vision andexecution plan for each initiative.

Technical Depth:

Engage directly with engineering teams toreview architecture, contribute to solutioning, and de-risk complextechnical work.

Operational Rigor:

Build and manage detailed project plans,ensuring that scope, schedule, and quality goals are met acrossteams.

Product Sensibility:

Translate high-level business goals intocoherent user experiences and system flows, balancing speed,scalability, and usability.

Communication & Influence:

Create clarity for seniorstakeholders through crisp documentation, clear storytelling, anddecisive leadership.

Culture of Excellence:

Model a high standard of ownership,curiosity, and results-orientation; mentor emerging leaders acrossthe organization.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Proven ability to lead and deliver multi-disciplinaryinitiatives that span technology, business, and operations. Deep understanding of the wealthtech ecosystem and commerciallandscape of our industry. Deep understanding of modern technology stacks includingmicroservices, APIs, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), and dataarchitectures. Strong product sensibility and experience contributing to UX,user workflows, and feature definition. Exceptional communication skills-able to synthesize complexityand drive alignment across executives, engineers, and businessteams. Experience in wealth management or financial services preferredbut not required. Track record of thriving in fast-paced, growth-orientedenvironments with a high degree of autonomy.

Education & Experience 15+ years of experience in wealth management tech or assetmanagement tech, with demonstrated leadership in architecture,product delivery, and operational execution. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering,or a related field or equivalent experience.

Compensation:

TheBase Salary range for this position is between$250,000

  • 280,000.

This information reflects a base salary rangethat AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based ona number of factors which may include job-related knowledge,skills, education, experience, and actual work location. Thisposition will also be eligible for additional variable incentivecompensation and competitive benefits.
