Job Description
POSITION DUTIES
1.Migrate existing traditional on prem n-tier applications to cloud.2.Work on NoSQL databases, including Hbase.3.Develop projects in Spark using Scala language in Cloudera distribution of Hadoop.4.Work with large data sets and efficiently querying large data sets.5.Work with Spark RDD, Data frames, Datasets.6.Work on Parquet File storage/retrieval methods using snappy compression.7.Work on reports using Spark SQL in Scala.8.Write shell scripts, hive queries and spark-scala programs per business requirement.9.Develop Continuous Integration (CI) in current project using shell scripting.10.Develop shell scripts to schedule the batch jobs through Autosys.
This position can be performed from a home office, anywhere in the US.

GA 30040.POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1.Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.2.Three years relevant experience as a Big Data Engineer, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, Applications Developer, or closely related.3.The relevant years of experience must include the following:a.3 years experience with Big Data projects.b.3 years experience working with the following Big Data tools: Hive, Impala, Spark, and Oozie.c.2 years experience with Hbase and Python scripting.d.1 year experience with PIG and Hadoop.
All experience may be gained concurrently.
