  • Job Summary
  • We are currently looking for a AWS DevSecOps Engineer with 6 to 10 years of experience to help contribute to the advancement of cloud strategy for one of our clients.

The primary focus of this role includes developing, communicating, and implementing robust and secure cloud continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. This role works closely with stakeholders to create fully automated pipelines which support current DevSecOps best practices.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Lead the design and implementation of scalable infrastructure solutions using AWS DevOps to support business objectives.

+ Oversee the deployment monitoring and maintenance of cloud-based systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. + Provide technical expertise in infrastructure automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. + Assists with releasing candidate CI/CD pipelines as a mechanism to communicate the states and steps necessary to determine a release candidate for each application and service + Designs and develops fully autonomous CI/CD pipelines which facilitate cloud deployments which includes automation of all infrastructure, services and application build and deployment + Ensures that all parts of the pipeline follow good software engineering practices to include automated tests and infrastructure tests Builds tools which reduce errors and improve our overall customer experiences + Assists in troubleshooting of production issues and ensure pipeline and infrastructure produces clear documentation and metrics which enables Root Cause Analysis + Works with Enterprise Architecture, Information Security (InfoSec), Software Delivery, and Quality Assurance to enable the organization to move to the cloud using complete automation + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address infrastructure needs and challenges. + Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in all infrastructure operations. + Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and configurations. + Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to infrastructure and cloud services. + Optimize resource utilization and cost management in cloud environments. + Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard data and systems. + Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency. + Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation in infrastructure operations. + Support the development and execution of infrastructure strategies aligned with organizational goals. + Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure processes and practices.

  • Qualifications
  • + Posses a strong understanding of AWS DevOps tools and practices.

+ High School Diploma or GED and six (6) years of related post-secondary education and/or experience in Information Security or Information Technology Preferences + Five (5) years of relevant DevSecOps experience AWS DevOps certification or Azure DevOps certification Experience in building / deploying cloud native applications – OpenShift, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Amazon ECS/ Amazon EKS + Experience in building / deploying serverless applications – Knative or Lambda/ SAM Experience in building / developing terraform modules + Experience with interfacing with secrets management solutions like Hashicorp Vault + Familiar with implementing Chaos engineering principles in the pipeline to determine weak links and suggest solutions. + Familiar with testing tools used to facilitate automation and integration of the tools into CI/CD pipelines + Demonstrate experience in infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines. + Have a background in cloud security and compliance best practices. + Show proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving complex infrastructure issues. + Exhibit knowledge of resource optimization and cost management in cloud environments. + Display familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

  • Salary and Other Compensation:
  • Applications will be accepted until July 24th, 2025 The annual salary for this position is between $49,001 – $123,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
