SUMMARY :

The Application Developer I works in accordance with the softwaredevelopment lifecycle to design and develop both new applicationsand enhancements to existing applications according to businessspecifications. Primary responsibilities include softwaredesign and development, unit testing, performing design and codereviews, and development of technical documentation. Additionalresponsibilities include performing system analysis, codemodifications, and functional testing to troubleshoot applicationproduction issues. Key attributes of the Application Developer Iinclude technical proficiency in specific areas of the currentdevelopment technologies (Visual Studio, .Net (preferably C#),JavaScript, HTML, OOP concepts, SQL), the ability to quickly masternew technologies as needed, strong written and verbal communicationskills, and a focus on delivering a high level of customerservice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop an in-depth knowledge of the applicationportfolio, development tools, and developmentprocedures. Design application solutions that fully implementbusiness requirements. Develop high quality software code in accordance withestablished company standards and developmentguidelines. Produce technical documentation that accurately andthoroughly depicts the software design and code base. Perform adequate unit testing of own and otherdevelopers’ application development work. At a minimum, unittesting should ensure all requirements have been addressed, allbasic functionality works, and errors are handledproperly. Expeditiously troubleshoot application productionissues Provide updates to the Project Managers on work inprogress, work completed, work planned, and issues potentiallyimpacting the on-time completion or quality level ofwork.
