Job Description
T-Mobile USA, Inc. seeks Managers, Product and Engineering inAtlanta, GA to constantly improve the development processes, tools and methodologies used in the development group. Work with multiple stakeholders to understand project and business priorities and schedule work with development staff based on those priorities. Evaluate work effort status and resource utilization and implement changes to improve the teams effectiveness. Present information on projects, initiatives, or other subjects to peers, teams, and upper management. Provide ongoing reconciliation between long-term goals and short-term actions. Effectively manage a team of FTE Engineers to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and coaching, and conducting performance reviews and conversations. Interview and hire qualified team members, striving to improve T-Mobile bench strength and augmenting team with contract staff when required. Support team in creating training and career development plans and ensure assignments with increasing levels of responsibility are given to staff. Oversee technical relationships with multiple assigned vendors, including driving features and function requests for inclusion in future product releases. Communicate, influence, and sell ideas at director level and below.
Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance. No travel is required.
Experience and education requirements:
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS
Masters degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related, or its foreign equivalent, and 3 years of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related, or its foreign equivalent, and 5 years of relevant work experience. In addition, the following skills are required:(1) Working with employees and vendors to define clear project objectives, requirements, and priorities. Communicating progress updates, conducting demonstrations, resolving issues, mitigating dissenting views, and providing responsive change management; (2) Conducting DevOps management, including performing interviews, hiring, developing talented and diverse teams, overseeing the software development work of a large team of developers leveraging agile methodologies, and maintaining business critical applications; (3) Developing and tracking OKRs and analyzing and creating reports, visualizations, and dashboards for operations and development metrics using PowerBI, including automation and integration with external data sources such as Jira or Rally; (4) Leading strategy and solution architecture for enterprise scale middleware systems using service-oriented architecture (SOA) with REST or
SOAP/WSDL
services in the telecommunications domain; and (5) Conducting software development for enterprise scale middleware systems using service-oriented architecture (SOA) with REST or
SOAP/WSDL
services in the telecommunications domain.
Georgia Pay Range:
$193,994.06 to $205,900.00/year. The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
