The Principal Systems Architect is responsible for designingcreative and scalable systems and software solutions that addressbusiness and technical needs on the web and across enterprisesystems. This role helps define and maintain architecture andtechnology standards for applications, middleware, databases, anddistributed systems-including both in-house and third-partysolutions. Job Responsibilities:

Provide direct technical evaluation of third-party products forinclusion in T-Mobile solutions. Help define software developmentprocesses. Lead architecture efforts involving

SAP ECC/S4

HANA andcloud-native supply chain integrations (e.g., WMS, TMS, 3PL/4PL)using REST APIs and middleware. Translate business requirements into scalable technicalsolutions and collaborate with development teams for implementationacross e-commerce, inventory, and logistics systems. Lead the implementation of advanced capabilities includingBOPIS (Buy Online Pickup In-Store), real-time delivery tracking,and warehouse automation. Define system integration standards and ensure alignment withenterprise architecture principles (e.g., TOGAF). Own hybrid architecture designs that leverage the reliabilityof on-prem systems with the agility of serverless, container-basedcloud services. Participate in solution blueprinting and cloud migrationplanning for supply chain systems-focusing on scalability,security, and cost-efficiency (e.g., AWS, Azure, OCI). Conduct architecture reviews, create design documentation, andmentor teams in applying best practices for microservices, DevOps,and API management. Collaborate across teams-Product Owners, DevOps, Security, andInfrastructure-to deliver aligned, secure, and optimizedsolutions. Ensure performance tuning, system resilience, and dataprotection in both legacy and modern environments.

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related subject area.(Required) Technology certifications (such as Java, Microsoft, Oracle) aplus. (Required) 7-10+ years experience in business environments.(Required) More than 7 years of experience as software or systemsarchitect, engineer, or programmer. (Required) 4-7+ years experience in B2C online e-commerce systemsarchitecture and design, preferably with IBM WebSphere Commerce.(Required) 4+ years of experience in web experience managementtechnologies including content management, search, analytics, andmarketing automation (preferably Adobe CQ5). (Required) 4-7+ years of experience in architecture and design of mobileweb applications, including responsive and hybrid models.(Required)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Supply Chain Leadership:

Lead the end-to-end design of supplychain systems (WMS, TMS, delivery, BOPIS, 3PL/4PL), aligning supplychain application design with T-Mobile’s customer-first values andomni-channel goals through cross-functional collaboration.

Smart Supply Chain Solutions:

Design advanced supply chainapplications using real-time tracking and predictive models, whileevaluating emerging technologies to keep operations cutting-edge.

Evaluate and balance cost, performance, and complexity inapplication solution designs.

Architecture Documentation:

Create detailed application andsolution architecture documents to support scalable, sustainable,and cost-effective solutions. Produce architecture documents whileworking closely with both business and technical stakeholders.

SAP Integration:

Integrate SAP systems with modern cloud-nativeplatforms using APIs and middleware.

Modern Architecture Practices:

Apply microservices,containerization (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes), and serverlessarchitecture principles.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in implementing supply chain features likeBOPIS, last-mile delivery, warehouse automation, and logisticsintegrations (TMS, WMS, 3PL/4PL). Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud)and cloud-native development. Experience managing technical debt and TCO (Total Cost ofOwnership) in long-term architecture strategies. Familiarity with data privacy, encryption, and compliancestandards in enterprise systems. Project leadership within Agile environments, with strongcommunication skills to bridge business and technical teams.

Licenses and Certifications:

Relevant industry certifications in cloud architecture, SAP, orenterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF) are a plus. At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the

$123,800 – $223,300

Corporate Bonus Target:

20% The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successfulcandidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay willbe based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications,and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within thisrange. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligiblefor an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based ontheir role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-endbonus based on company and/or individual performance and which isset at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in theprior year.
