SrDevOps/SRE Engineer
WHAT YOU WILL DO
HHS Technology Group seekingan experienced and highly skilled Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer tojoin our engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a key rolein automating, scaling, and optimizing our development andproduction environments. The ideal candidate will have a strongbackground in managing Kubernetes clusters, virtual machines, andpossess the ability to lead and mentor a team. This individual willplay a crucial role in optimizing our deployment processes,enhancing system reliability, and shaping the infrastructurearchitecture. Experience in networking, Agile methodologies,continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD),and AWScloud services.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES
CI/CD Management :
Design, implement, and manage Continuous Integration and ContinuousDeployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD,SonarQube, FFrog Antifactory, Azure DevOps. Infrastructure as Code(IaC) : Use tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible toprovision, manage, and maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
Cloud Infrastructure :
Build and manage scalable infrastructure onAWS and Azure Platform.
Security & Compliance :
Implement securitybest practices, including secrets management, vulnerabilityscanning, and access controls.
Collaboration :
Work closely withdevelopment teams to understand requirements and ensure systemreliability and performance.
Incident Management :
Participate inon-call rotations and assist in root cause analysis and post-mortemprocesses.
Performance Tuning :
Analyze and optimize systemperformance and scalability.
Automation :
Automate repetitive tasksand workflows to increase team efficiency. Manage networkingconfigurations and security protocols within Kubernetesenvironments to ensure optimal communication and data flow. Drivethe adoption of Agile methodologies, enabling rapid development,iteration, and delivery of software projects. Utilize AWS cloudservices to architect, deploy, and optimize cloud-based solutions,ensuring cost-effectiveness and scalability. Investigate andtroubleshoot production incidents, applying root cause analysis andimplementing corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to gather requirements, define infrastructure needs, andalign technical solutions with business goals. Stay up to date withindustry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies,integrating relevant advancements into the DevOps process.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, InformationTechnology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Extensive experience (5 years) in Kubernetes administration,including cluster deployment, scaling, and management. Strongleadership capabilities demonstrated through previous teamleadership roles. Proficiency in networking concepts, protocols,and security practices within Kubernetes environments. Strongbackground and understanding of docker and Kubernetes Solidunderstanding of Agile methodologies and experience working inAgile development teams. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelinesand related tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.). In-depth knowledgeof AWS cloud services and infrastructure architecture. Proficiencyin Java programming language.
DESIRED SKILLS
Excellentproblem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards identifyingand resolving technical challenges. Strong communication andcollaboration skills, able to effectively convey complex technicalconcepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA),AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, and relevant networkingcertifications are a plus.
