Summary:
We are the global leader in the payment industry. Ourhardware (Self Service Machines) and software (POS and paymentsolutions) cross-sell extensively to retail and hospitalitysegments. The incumbent will be involved in development projects todesign software for ATMs and POS terminals. This includes analysis,design, and development of authentic software products, as well asimplementation of client projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in gathering user requirements from clients. Document design specifications for discussion with the ProductManagement team. Develop enhancements or corrections to software according toapproved designs and following industry best practices and companystandards. Assist in documentation where relevant. Provide 24×7 maintenance support to clients (whenrostered). Implement client projects within budgeted timeframes andcosts. Assist in any ad-hoc projects and tasks asassigned.
Qualifications and Desired Work Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a relateddiscipline. At least 5 years of working experience using the Javaprogramming language. Basic SQL knowledge. Good logical thinking and analytical skills. Proven skills in the implementation of significant Java-basedproduct development. A rigorous and thorough approach to quality. Experience in a payments systems environment, product vendorbackground, or strong concurrency experience is an advantage. Excellent communication skills in English.
