Job Description
Sr. Software Developer for Veritiv Operating Company to develop, support and implement complex applications and systems; understand business process requirements and translate into technical specifications; serve as technical lead and lead developer on projects; begin creating best practices and processes for software development; influence application architecture decisions; provide leadership and mentoring to other team members; set up and facilitate processes for reuses; participate in the application design process; support and champion corporate initiatives and decisions; develop and execute unit testing and code version control; awareness and compliance of enterprise managed processes; involve in medium to high complexity projects and responsible for developing, testing, installing, modifying and maintaining applications; perform application and technical design for the Veritiv EDI platform; and network with external resources on development activities like tech education, user groups, and online message boards..
Requires:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus six (6) years of experience as a software developer, supply chain analyst or related position working in information technology (IT) or, alternatively, a master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience as a software developer, supply chain analyst or related position working in information technology (IT). Specific skills/other requirements – Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Windows Application Development; Visual Studio and Visual Basic 6.0; .Net and C#; Sharepoint; Java, including Struts, MVC, and Spring; WebSphere Commerce; jQuery and Angular; and Oracle Database and SQL.
