Job DescriptionCapTech’s Customer Experience(CX) team seeks a UX Architect with a track record of designingsophisticated, intuitive, and impactful digital brand experiencesthat are informed by qualitative and quantitative user research andaccessibility best practices.
Our UX Architects are passionateproblem-solvers who strive to ensure alignment between user goals,behaviors, and attitudes with business objectives, while honingtheir craft and growing in their careers. They stay current withthe latest research tools and methods for understanding userbehavior, and they approach additional training in these areas withcuriosity and enthusiasm. In addition, our UX Architects mentorother practitioners, overseeing their work to ensure successfuldelivery.
This could be the position for you if: You possess strong conceptual and visual communication skills,have expert knowledge of interaction design and usabilityprinciples, and can span multiple projects. You have a proven understanding of user research and usabilitytesting methodologies, with strong analytic capabilities necessaryto provide insights and recommendations. You have a proven understanding of product strategy, heuristicanalysis, information architecture, user research, user interfaceand interaction design, wireframing, prototyping, and usabilitytesting. You are a confident self-starter, yet able to take feedbackfrom clients and direction from UX and Creative Directors withhumility, all while collaborating closely with project teams. You thrive in an environment that requires strongproblem-solving skills and enjoy collaborating with otherinteraction designers, user researchers, developers, and businesssystem analysts.
Responsibilities may include: Leading the creation of personas, customer journeys, conceptualprototypes, and responsive interfaces that follow interactiondesign and usability best practices. Leading advanced design activities such as design workshops,rapid prototyping, and iterative user testing. Producing clean, informative, and concise presentations toclients and internal teams that communicate the rationale behindyour designs and recommendations. Advocating the benefits of accessible design and usability withclients and team members. Giving insightful and constructive feedback on the designs,including interactions, information architecture, content, andalignment with business goals and user needs. Performing competitive assessments and providing innovativealternatives, as well as researching and understanding design andtechnology trends. Comfort discussing scope and level of effort (LOE) with seniorpractice area and account team members. Volunteering for CX leadership opportunities, includingcontributing to methodologies, capabilities, approaches, andtoolset. Attending and leading CX meetings and trainings. Engagesin professional development and industry involvement. Proactively seeking to mentor others about design. Providingdesign oversight and art direction for visual and interactiondesigners.
Qualifications 5+ years professional experience, ideally in a consulting oragency context. 4-year+ degree in design, fine arts, or similar preferred. Proven written, verbal, conceptual, and visual communicationskills. Experience with multiple domains of human-centered designincluding user and market research, product and experiencestrategy, information architecture, experience design, contentstrategy, optimization, and customer insight. Figma expertise is preferred, with proficiency in comparabledesign tools (Sketch, Adobe XD). Proficiency with Illustrator,Photoshop, and InDesign, as well as PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Agile product development lifecycles andpractices is a plus. Familiarity with WCAG and other accessibility guidelines andstandards is a plus.
