Long-Term Contract Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and collaborative ZCEE Integration Specialist to join our mainframe and hybrid cloud development team. This role is focused on developing and integrating APIs using IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition , working alongside COBOL, Java, and other mainframe technologies. The ideal candidate has an interest in DevOps practices, a passion for API-driven development, and the ability to troubleshoot effectively in complex hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs using IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition (ZCEE) . Utilize knowledge of
OAS2/OAS3
specifications to build and expose services from mainframe systems. Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines tailored for mainframe application delivery. Support mainframe applications written in COBOL, Java , and related technologies. Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting for ZCEE services and connected endpoints in hybrid architectures. Document integration solutions, contribute to standards, and participate in design discussions.
Required Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with IBM Z and z/OS Connect (ZCEE) . Working knowledge of mainframe programming languages such as COBOL and Java. Familiarity with
REST API
development and OpenAPI (OAS) specifications. Understanding of CI/CD processes , DevOps principles, and mainframe automation tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in collaborative, cross-functional teams . Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
