Supplemental Information This is a full time position located at the Capitol Annex Building in Baton Rouge, LA. This position will be filled as an internal promotion; you must be a current permanent employee of the Department of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism, serving in a Classified position, in order to qualify.
About this position:
This position serves as the IT Technical Architect responsible for a large scale, complex, statewide enterprise network. Primary responsibility is the architecture, planning, implementation, and management of a secure statewide network running secure statewide enterprise systems as well as providing WIFI for public access at over 60 sites statewide. Functions include performing administrative, supervisory, management, and highly complex technical work and responsibility for the design, procurement, installation, operation, and maintenance of the highly complex statewide information management network; does related work as required. Supervision is received from the IT Administrator. 10+ years of experience being a Network Engineer/Architect over a large enterprise network is a preferred qualification. No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
