Job Description
NATURE OF DUTIES
The primary duties of this position are to maximize the integration of the company’s applications in order to enhance patient care and streamline workflow processes. This individual will become part of the company’s IT Team and will share responsibilities, projects, and both minor and major upgrades to the IT system with the existing team members. Travel to other locations is required on a regular basis as much as 20% of the time. Occasional late night or weekend work may be required for major component and software upgrades. Must be available to accept after hours calls when the need arises.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION

SPECIFIC DUTIES
: Develop automation in workflows that are manual processes when applicable. Coordinate Interfacing projects with vendors and other healthcare facilities. Work closely with the LEAN program to address specific identified problems in the company workflow involving Information Systems. Assure that the company utilizes its software to the fullest potential for both clinical and administrative purposes with emphasis on Meaningful Use Readiness. Assist in any current or new software implementations. Become knowledgeable of company applications and the inter-relationships of various software packages. Serve as a software/applications problem resolution resource to all personnel across the organization. Serve as a hardware problem resolution resource to all personnel across the organization. Assist Helpdesk staff with hands-on hardware or application installs, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or decommissioning. Works with SQL and data visualization tools to build and maintain analytics and reporting request. Participate in teams that are focused on the further development of the medical record system and others as they arise. Research and advise the organization’s management team on potential software applications and solutions in a pro-active manner.
OTHER DUTIES
The Applications Workflow Specialist performs other related duties as assigned and serves in whatever other capacity deemed necessary for successful completion of the mission and goals of this company and in concordance with its patient philosophy.
