Job Description
Application Development/Maintenance (multiple positions)(State Street Bank and Trust Company; Quincy, MA): The qualified individual in this role will be completely hands-on and will work with cross-functional teams. Specific duties of the position include: Leading the design and development of data warehouse-based platforms; Working with users across multiple business domains and platforms to analyze, define, and translate their business requirements into technical designs; Performing Proof-of-Concept to establish design patterns; Supporting the entire IMS/Back Office suite of applications and working with various development teams; Leading team in terms of functional/technical aspects for Project Delivery and guide the teams on various implementations; Working with Snowflake SRE/Azure COE/ Oracle Exadata teams to provide the necessary capacity and sizing requirements for various components within the ecology; Reviewing database performance and implementing the necessary optimization techniques; Working independently on Azure/Snowflake/Oracle/COSMOS/Python component development; Providing technical direction on several IMS implementation teams; QA Support – reviewing the QA test cases prepared by QA Team, analysis and triage of the defects with Dev, QA and BA teams on daily basis during execution period; Working on Release Management/Automation and performing the smoke testing with every Client onboarding/Production Releases; and Work on Process Improvements, Application Standardization/Streamlining. Hybrid remote telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field; plus 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or in any occupation in which experience was gained in software development.
Must have:
Proven ability to lead the design and development of Data Warehouse based platforms; Demonstrated experience with Azure, Snowflake, COSMOS BD, Python, or Oracle Exadata; Demonstrated experience working with business partners to conduct business analysis and requirement definition workshops; Proven strong understanding of PL/SQL and SQL Tuning; Demonstrated experience working with Oracle 11g/12c databases including PL/SQL development, SQL, and performance tuning; Demonstrated experience working with Exadata appliances; and Demonstrated experience working on Data Warehousing projects including design and development. LI-DNI Salary Range:
$177,341 – $192,500 Annual The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
