Research Software Engineer- Khoury College of Computer Sciences Position Available In Suffolk, Massachusetts

About the Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled Research Software Engineer with full stack and machine learning expertise to lead our AI system deployment. You will work with researchers and students to deploy AI systems in up to 200 homes in Atlanta, GA. You will be responsible for designing and deploying the infrastructure that connects sensors, AI inference systems, large foundational models, and mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain a robust software infrastructure that connects and stores sensor information from wearables, home sensors, third-party applications with existing research systems (including large foundation models) that interpret the incoming data, process them, and interface with users. Work with students to translate research grade code to deployable systems. Lead Northeastern’s

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent degree Four to six years of relevant experience Experience with full stack development and managing cloud VMs and servers. Strong software development skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
