Jr. Software Engineer ApprentiScope Massachusetts Company Overview Our mission at ApprentiScope is to accelerate the adoption of Registered Apprenticeship and Work-Based Learning programs by automating their most time-consuming and repetitive program management tasks, so our customers can focus on growing their programs rather than managing them. Summary We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our small (yet mighty) engineering team at ApprentiScope to help build products that are accelerating the adoption of Registered Apprenticeship programs globally. In this role, you will work alongside our Chief Engineer to support the evolution of our industry-leading Apprenticeship Management System (AMS), leverage cutting-edge technologies, and develop new products to accelerate our mission. Responsibilities Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications. Collaborate with other engineers to implement new features and improve existing functionalities. Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices. Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance. Work with databases using NoSQL for data management tasks. Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with emerging technologies. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in Javascript/Node.js and React.js/Vue.js. Familiarity with RESTful services and API integration. Familiarity with cloud services like Google Cloud Platform is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
