Summary This position will be supporting our product Nelnet Campus Commerce (NCC). The Software Engineer II designs, creates, maintains, audits and improves software applications by performing coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. This position designs solutions for typical projects and completes work with minimal supervision. When required, the Software Engineer II makes recommendations for future development options. This position will lead Nelnet’s teams to develop, maintain, and support customer payment solutions. The right candidate for this position will lead their teams to be collaborative, respectful, curious, and innovative. Responsibilities:

1. Researches, designs, implements and manages software applications based on user requirements. 2. Writes, tests and implements efficient code. 3. Maintains and develops existing applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification. 4. Works within an Agile environment, responds to change quickly, including re-focusing development efforts and adapting to evolving requirements. 5. Is positive and solution-oriented with team members and stakeholders. 6. Continues to update technical knowledge and skills. 7. Collaborate with team members to review code, resolve test failures and ensure adequate test coverage 8. Write automated tests for various levels (unit, integration, end-to-end) to ensure code quality and reliability. Qualifications

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. •EXPE
