Position Description
The Sales Application Engineer reports to Engineering Supervisor or Engineering Manager. This position to is responsible for the development of specific designs using current technology to meet customer requirements most economically design within the scope of products manufactured by the Coolers team, it will also follow the process of new sales orders from design, rating and pricing to manufacturing and shipping. Deals directly with the customers or sales reps depending on the application.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct technical assistance to the customer relating to site-specific applications, special requirements, quotations, etc.
Keeping marketing material and product brochures updated
Maintaining pricing agreements with key customers
Maintaining and using pricing selection tools
Demonstrates the ability to use deductive reasoning to ensure appropriate equipment application. Able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Coordinate the build and ensure the accuracy of customer orders.
Ensure understanding by plant production and manufacturing personnel of design specifications.
Work closely with other departments and the plant to ensure products are delivered on time and meet all customer requirements.
Monitor feedback from the customer, the plant and the field to collaborate on improvement projects with the appropriate engineering disciplines.
Create, update and revise work documents in SAP, SolidEdge, AutoCAD, Adobe, and Microsoft Office products. Required Education & Qualifications
College graduate in engineering or related technical discipline with limited work experience or
2 – 5 years equivalent experience in the specified engineering discipline. A basic understanding of how heating and ventilating equipment work within a facility.
Knowledge of structural design, manufacturing processes and computer methods are necessary.
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communications.
Knowledge of construction industry, project management, sequence of operations and electromechanical controls will be helpful. Experience in SAP, SolidEdge, AutoCAD, Adobe, and Microsoft Office products a plus
