About the Position
The Mississippi Department of Finance & Administration is seeking a third-level professional position accountable for performing complex assignments often requiring the development of new or improved applications, processes, or techniques. Is accountable for full stack development, application security, validation, evaluation and implementation. Works on and solves complex problems where analysis requires in depth evaluation of various factors. Provides complex technical support in relevant field of discipline. May function as team lead or supervisor of lower-level positions. Mentors less experienced staff.
What you’ll need to be Successful
Incumbents at this level will supervise lower-level Application Developers, handle complex assignments often requiring the development of new or improved applications, processes, or techniques. This position requires experience coding, debugging, and modifying existing applications. Conducts testing and prepares documentation in accordance with existing standards and practices. Utilizes a wide range of software tools in support of application creation and database design. Technical customer service supporting websites, and experience with
HTML, CSS, .NET
Core, JavaScript, PHP, Python or C#, and SQL are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 5-8+ years of IT experience with emphasis in applications development and support.
