About the RoleAbout the Role Join NetApp’s Core Storage Engineering (CSE)organization as a DevOps Engineer, where you’ll work at theintersection of system-level test automation and firmwaredevelopment for industry-leading storage products. Our team isresponsible for the research, development, and validation ofembedded software powering high-capacity, high-performance SAS andNVMe storage I/O modules and disk shelves (external enclosures).This unique role requires a versatile engineer who is comfortableswitching between developing robust Python-based test automationand contributing to firmware development in C/C++. You’llparticipate in all phases of the product lifecycle, from design anddevelopment to testing, debugging, and customer support. JobRequirements Required Qualifications 5 years of relevant experiencein software development, test automation, or firmware engineering.

Expertise in Python for scripting, automation, and testdevelopment. Proficiency in C and/or C++ for embedded firmwaredevelopment. Experience with Linux and Windows developmentenvironments. Strong problem-solving skills and a systematicapproach to troubleshooting. Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills. Team-oriented mindset with the ability towork both independently and collaboratively. Familiarity withcomputer architecture, data structures, and standard programmingpractices. Willingness to learn new skills in real-time operatingsystems, embedded software tools, and storage protocols PreferredQualifications Experience with Perl or Linux shell scripting.

Background in software verification, quality assurance, or DevOpspractices. Prior exposure to storage systems, networking, orembedded hardware. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inComputer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, orequivalent experience.

Compensation:

The target salary range forthis position is 130,900 – 194,700 USD. The salary offered will bedetermined by the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience,and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensationpackages are competitive and in line with industry standards,reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensivebenefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance,Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leaveoptions, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchaseplan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subjectto regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, andcompany policies.
