As a Sr Software Engineer, youwill work as part of an exceptionally talented engineering teamresponsible for architecture, design and development of ONTAP RAIDand Storage software. The overall focus of the team will be ondelivering innovative technologies to address competitive marketand customer requirements with enterprise-class product quality andtime-to-market. The team will also be responsible for maintenanceand enhancements to existing technologies and products. JobRequirements Apply modern software engineering skills and bestpractices to contribute to both new product development andenhancements of ONTAP software stack Contribute to technical designdiscussions and share insights on systems engineering concepts,including computer architecture, operating systems, file systems,networking, algorithms, and data structures. Contribute to design,coding, debugging, performance analysis, and troubleshooting acrossdevelopment, test, and production environments. Work as part of anexceptionally talented global team, engaging in technicaldiscussions and acting as a resource for peers. Be proactive inlearning and applying the latest testing technologies, tools, andframeworks, while also driving automation initiatives. Develop,modify, and execute comprehensive software test plans and testcases, both manually and through automation. Investigate andresolve issues, collaborating closely with other team members andacross teams to address challenges in test and productionenvironments. Qualifications A passion for system softwareprogramming is a must! Deep understanding and expertise inOperating system fundamentals Strong Kernel/Systems softwareprogramming skills in C/C++ with hands-on experience in Linux/UNIXenvironments. Ability to debug and complex systemic issues andvarious interactions including Crash dump analysis. Excellentproblem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Proficient with modern automation tools and frameworks, andenthusiastic about applying cutting-edge testing methodologies,including unit testing frameworks. Ability to work effectively incross-functional, geo-distributed teams. Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills. Experience with RAID/Storage/Disk devicedrivers is a plus. Education A Bachelor of Science Degree inElectrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master’s Degree or aPhD; or equivalent experience is required. Requires a minimum of 5years of related software development and testing experience.

Compensation:

The target salary range for this position is $138,000- $154,000. The salary offered will be determined by thecandidate’s location, qualifications, experience, and education andmay be outside of this range. Final compensation packages arecompetitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting avariety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
