Job Summary Wedeliver a software defined secure infrastructure to buildenterprise storage products with a highly available, scale-outarchitecture that powers NetApp’s flagship operating system, ONTAP,within FAS, software defined and cloud environments. We are lookingfor a Software Engineer who has strong coding skills. You need tobe creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, and driven to produceresults. As a Software Engineer working in NetApp’s ONTAP Softwareand Systems Group (OSSG), you’ll regularly participate internallyacross functions within a development team focused on deliveringhigh-quality functionality of software defined infrastructure inONTAP. Job Responsibility

• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
• C++,Kernel, and Python experience (Must be strong in C++).
• Experiencewith multi-threading.
• Must be a strong debugger.
• Experiencewith the software development lifecycle (design, implementation,testing).
• Experience working with file systems, distributedsystems, client-server programming, multi-threaded applications,and operating systems such as FreeBSD and Linux.
• A strongunderstanding of basic to complex concepts related to computerarchitecture, data structures, and programming practices.
• Experience with object-oriented systems programming.
• Ability towork under limited supervision and direction.
• Possess excellentwritten and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to workcollaboratively within a team environment of other engineers tomeet aggressive goals and high quality standards.
• Analyzecomplicated software subsystems and design an automated strategy totest the subsystems.
• Collaborate within a team environment ofother engineers to meet aggressive goals and high qualitystandards.
• May work with teams across the company inproblem-solving and design efforts.
• The individual will begin todevelop a technical specialty.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor ofScience degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; aMaster’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of softwaredevelopment experience.

Compensation:

The target salary range forthis position is 187,000 – 278,300 USD. The salary offered will bedetermined by the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience,and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensationpackages are competitive and in line with industry standards,reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensivebenefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance,Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leaveoptions, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchaseplan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subjectto regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, andcompany policies.
