Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Software Engineer 2/Java Full Stack Developer
We are seeking a Java Full Stack Engineer with expertise in test automation using Playwright, Karate, and Cucumber
. In this role, you will contribute to software engineering initiatives
, identify process improvements
, and support low-to-moderately complex projects
. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery while adhering to compliance and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and optimize full-stack applications using Java and modern frameworks.
Design and implement automated test scripts using Playwright, Karate, and Cucumber
.
Participate in code reviews
, debugging, and troubleshooting software issues.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within software engineering workflows.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure seamless integration of automated tests.
Present recommendations for resolving technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement
.
Ensure compliance with software development policies, procedures, and best practices
.

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in Software Engineering or equivalent (work, consulting, training, military, or education).
Strong proficiency in Java and full-stack development.
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks
: Playwright, Karate, and Cucumber
.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud-based applications and microservices architecture
.
Knowledge of API testing and performance testing
.
Exposure to DevOps practices and version control systems (Git, Jenkins, etc.).
