Position Description:
Crafts and develops automated tests and software tools using Junit, TestRunner, Selenium, and RestAssured. Designs, develops, documents, and maintains automated tests and in-house software utilities using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Develops software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Applies test driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions and software utilities. Prepares technical reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, and status. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or a closely related occupation) developing and implementing automation testing solutions within an agile, DevOps environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or a closely related occupation) developing and implementing automation testing solutions within an agile, DevOps environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing Automation Suites using Selenium WebDriver, Java, Test
NG, REST
Assured, Cucumber and IntelliJ.
DE developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for Automation Suites using Jenkins, GitHub, and Maven Artifactory; creating detailed test plans, scenarios, defect tracker and automation status result dashboards using JIRA within QA environments.
DE conducting system, integration, and regression testing of software build systems on Web, Web Services, and Database platforms to ensure reliability and performance using SeeTest, Insomnia and Oracle SQL Developer.
