Job Title:

Software Engineer Job Description The STO Adaptation team is building out a serviceability team. This team will work in a similar manner as other STO Adaptation teams but will focus on enhancing the serviceability of products. You will be responsible for designing and testing software features. You will verify that new features are working as designed and scope the expected behavior of new features. You must be willing to learn new concepts and technologies rapidly and embrace being outside of your comfort zone. Communication skills to clearly and effectively share your ideas with team members and external business entities are essential. A solid understanding of networking concepts is a must for this role. Responsibilities Design and test software features. Verify new features are working as designed. Scope the expected behavior of new features. Ramp up quickly on new code bases and processes. Learn new concepts and technologies at a rapid pace. Communicate effectively with team members and external business entities. Essential Skills 0-3+ years of software development experience. Strong networking setup and troubleshooting skills. Strong foundation in multiple OO languages such as Python, C/C++, Golang. Eager and willing to constantly learn new things. Software development in a Linux environment. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Basic virtualization knowledge including virtual machines and Docker. Experience with Agile software development. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be a US citizen . Experience with VMWare. Knowledge of cryptography. Work Environment Prefer local candidates that will eventually be able to come onsite but open to non-local full remote candidates. Currently, the role is full remote but eventually, when the company has people come back onsite, the ideal candidate will have a hybrid schedule to come onsite 2 days/week.
