The Position
As an Extended Reality (XR) Developer the key mission is to redefine our manufacturing approach by creating a fully data driven and continuous process for oral tablet formulation and optimize the manufacturing production and analysis from end to end. By developing sustainable and scalable XR applications using industry-standard tools and frameworks, while being GxP and Non-GxP valid and best in class for XR training and spatial learning; this position will be a key player to create a new paradigm that will alter the approach to drug development by redesigning and digitalizing the processes.

Essential Functions
Work closely with Product Owners from NT&XR and other stakeholders to translate training specifications into code
Enable sustainable and scalable integration of XR assets by using software offering long term support for multiple XR platforms and is compatible with software used by XR Developer teams across the organization
Responsible for designing together with stakeholders and testers, verification, and release of XR applications
Subject matter expertise in the usage and functionality of the XR applications
Troubleshoot code (defect & incident handling), propose solution & undertake re-testing both manually and programmatically
Continuously improve on standards and processes related to development of XR solutions
Remain in touch with XR teams across Novo and outside of Novo
Collaborate iteratively with stakeholders to design and implement engaging XR applications which will require working closely with cross-functional teams, including operators, engineers, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration of XR technology by guiding the design and implementation phases as an XR Developer
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to XR application development and deployment
Document and test XR solutions to ensure the performance and functionality are up to quality standards
Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. % can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, game design or related field from an accredited university required, Master’s degree preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in professional software development, demonstrating the ability to concept, prototype, design, code, and engineer a variety of visualizations that can be used on mobile, desktop or VR platforms required
Experience with VR/AR development in Unity or other relevant software for the leading VR/AR headsets required
Strong mindset to develop highly reliant solutions that support continuous deployment and maintenance preferred
Experience with applying technology in innovative solutions to solve business challenges preferred
Ability to handle technological innovation and high complexity required
Ability to conduct performance and usability tests with industry standard tools, and document gained data appropriately required
Good understanding in transforming business requirements to an easy to use and customer centric user interface required
Ability to balance degree of initiative versus committable resources in a reliable manner ensuring project timelines and deliverables required
High flexibility and change readiness preferred
Ability to manage intricate tasks with minimal or no established protocols in place required
Strong business understanding a plus
Strong strategic and innovative mindset a plus
Basic infrastructure (especially in cloud) knowledge preferred
Strong communication skills required
Strong analytical and development skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translating into application and operational requirements required
